This Privacy Policy explains how Noor Streem ("Platform", "we", "us", "our"), operated by Mohammed Zeeshan, Medak, Telangana, India, collects, uses, stores and protects your personal data when you use our website https://noorstreem.com, our mobile application and our services, including NoorEducation courses and classes.

We process personal data in accordance with applicable Indian law, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, as applicable.

1. DATA WE COLLECT

• Account data: name, email address, mobile number, password (stored only in encrypted/hashed form), profile photo.
• Student data: student name, age group or class, country, preferred class type and timings, parent/guardian details where the student is a minor.
• Course data: courses enrolled, attendance, progress, assignments, test results and certificates.
• Payment data: transaction ID, amount, currency, payment status and date. Card, UPI and bank details are entered on our payment gateway's secure page (Razorpay) and are not stored by us.
• Communications: messages sent to our support, teachers or grievance team.
• Technical data: device type, browser, IP address, approximate location (country) used to show prices in your currency, time zone used to show class times, and app logs used for security and fixing errors.
• Content you upload: comments, reviews, videos or other content you choose to submit.

2. WHY WE USE YOUR DATA

• To create and manage your account.
• To enrol you in courses, schedule classes and show class times in your time zone.
• To process payments, issue receipts and handle refunds.
• To send class reminders, course updates and important service messages.
• To provide support and resolve complaints.
• To keep the Platform safe, prevent fraud and enforce our Terms & Conditions.
• To improve our courses and services.
• To comply with legal obligations.

We send promotional messages only where permitted by law, and you can opt out at any time.

3. SHARING OF DATA

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only as needed with:

• Payment gateway (Razorpay) — to process payments.
• Hosting and storage providers (e.g. Oracle Cloud, Backblaze) — to run the Platform and store videos.
• Email and messaging providers (e.g. Zoho Mail) — to send emails and reminders.
• Video-class providers — to run live classes.
• AI assistant provider (OpenAI) — only the questions you type into the Noor Assistant, to generate answers.
• Teachers — the student details needed to teach the class.
• Authorities — where required by law or to protect safety.

These providers may only use your data to provide their service to us.

4. CHILDREN'S DATA

Many of our students are children. Where a student is under 18, a parent or legal guardian should create or supervise the account and give consent. We collect only the data needed to teach the child, we do not use children's data for targeted advertising, and teachers must keep communication educational and professional. A parent or guardian may contact us at any time to review or delete their child's data.

5. DATA STORAGE AND SECURITY

Your data is stored on secure cloud servers. We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, encrypted storage of secret keys, access controls and regular backups. No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data and will notify you and the authorities of a personal-data breach where required by law.

6. DATA RETENTION

We keep your data while your account is active and for as long as needed to provide services, resolve disputes and meet legal, tax and accounting requirements. Payment records are kept as required by law. When data is no longer needed, it is deleted or anonymised.

7. YOUR RIGHTS

Subject to applicable law, you can:

• Access the personal data we hold about you;
• Correct or update inaccurate data;
• Ask us to delete your data or account;
• Withdraw consent (this may stop some services);
• Opt out of promotional messages;
• Nominate a person to exercise your rights in case of death or incapacity;
• Raise a grievance with us, and with the Data Protection Board of India where applicable.

8. COOKIES AND LOCAL STORAGE

Our website uses browser storage and cookies to keep you signed in, remember your settings (such as language, time zone and last opened section) and keep the site secure. You can clear them from your browser settings; some features may then not work.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be published on this page with a new "Last Updated" date.
